Salary inputs: The job title, experience level, location, and salary figure you enter into PayPeek are used solely to compute your result in your browser session. They are passed to our API to look up a market benchmark and are never persisted to a database or log file.

No account data: PayPeek does not require registration. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any other personally identifiable information (PII).

Anonymous usage data: We collect aggregated, anonymised page-view data to understand which features are used and to improve the product. This data cannot be used to identify you.

PayPeek uses a minimal number of cookies:

We do not use tracking cookies, advertising pixels, or persistent fingerprinting techniques of any kind.

The limited data we receive is used exclusively to:

• Return a salary comparison result to you in real time.
• Measure aggregate page traffic to improve the product.
• Detect and prevent abuse (e.g., rate limiting).

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or resale.

We do not sell data. PayPeek does not sell, rent, or trade any user data to any third party under any circumstances.

Our infrastructure runs on Vercel (hosting) and a managed PostgreSQL provider. These providers process data solely to deliver the service and are contractually prohibited from using it for their own purposes. Neither provider receives your salary inputs, as those are not stored persistently.

We may disclose data if required by law (e.g., a valid court order), but we would disclose the minimum required and would notify you where legally permitted.

All communication between your browser and PayPeek is encrypted using TLS (HTTPS). We enforce HTTPS-only access; plain HTTP requests are redirected automatically.

Because we do not store your salary data, there is no persistent database of personal salary information that could be breached.

If you are located in the European Union or European Economic Area, you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

• Right of access — request a copy of any personal data we hold about you.
• Right to erasure— request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten").
• Right to rectification — request correction of inaccurate personal data.
• Right to data portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
• Right to object — object to processing of your data in certain circumstances.
• Right to restrict processing — request that we limit how we use your data.

Because PayPeek does not collect personally identifiable information by design, most of these rights have no practical application for typical users. However, if you believe we hold data about you or if you have any GDPR-related query, please contact us at hello@paypeek.app and we will respond within 30 days.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority (DPA) if you believe your rights have been infringed.

Salary inputs: not retained (processed in memory only, never written to disk).

Anonymous analytics: retained in aggregate for up to 24 months to allow trend analysis. No individual records are retained.

Server logs: standard web-server access logs (IP addresses, timestamps, request paths) are retained for up to 30 days for security and debugging purposes, then deleted.

PayPeek is intended for use by adults in the workforce. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16 years of age. If you believe a minor has used the service, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of PayPeek after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
